CyberDEBS

A digital services platform that simplifies access to internet data bundles and MTN AFA registration, with seamless Mobile Money payments and no account required.

The challenge

Accessing everyday digital products and services can be unnecessarily fragmented and inconvenient. Customers may need to use different vendors, platforms, or processes to purchase internet data bundles, complete mobile-network registrations, and access other digital services.
For services such as internet bundles, customers also need a simple way to purchase data for their preferred network or another person's number without going through complicated registration processes. Similarly, services such as MTN AFA registration can involve multiple steps that customers may prefer to complete through one convenient digital channel.
CyberDEBS aims to address this challenge by bringing commonly needed digital products and services together on a single platform, allowing customers to complete transactions conveniently, pay with Mobile Money, and access supported services without having to create an account.

What we built

Mr. Stephen Debra wanted CyberDEBS to provide a simple digital platform where customers could access everyday digital products and services without unnecessary complexity. Accessibility was also an important consideration: the platform needed to serve a diverse range of customers, including people with disabilities who may use keyboards, screen readers, and other assistive technologies.
He therefore worked with Inclusive App Craft (IAC) to develop CyberDEBS with accessibility incorporated into the development process rather than treated as an afterthought.
A Centralised Digital Services Platform
IAC developed CyberDEBS as a digital products and services hub where customers can access multiple services from one platform.
The initial services include internet data bundles for MTN, Telecel, and AirtelTigo, as well as MTN AFA registration, while the platform is structured to accommodate additional digital products and services as the business grows.
A Simple Purchasing Experience
The purchasing process was designed to minimise unnecessary barriers.
Customers can select a service, provide the required information, pay with Mobile Money, and receive or request the service without first having to create an account.
For internet bundles, customers can select a network and bundle, enter the receiving number, and complete payment through Mobile Money.
For MTN AFA registration, customers provide the required registration information, make payment, and CyberDEBS handles the remaining process.
Accessibility-First Development
As the development partner, Inclusive App Craft incorporated accessibility considerations into the design and implementation of the platform.
The objective was to ensure that essential customer journeys—such as navigating services, completing forms, selecting products, and initiating transactions—are designed with users of different abilities and interaction methods in mind.
This includes consideration for semantic structure, keyboard interaction, screen-reader compatibility, properly labelled form controls, understandable instructions and errors, logical focus behaviour, and accessible interaction patterns.
Accessibility was therefore considered as part of the product's engineering process, rather than being added only after the platform had been built.
Mobile Money Integration
Because the platform is intended to make digital services convenient to access, Mobile Money was incorporated into the transaction process.
This allows customers to use a familiar payment method while keeping the purchasing journey straightforward.
Designed for Growth
CyberDEBS was not designed solely as a data-bundle website.
IAC developed the platform around the broader concept of a digital products and services hub so that the client can introduce additional services as the business grows.
The IAC Approach
The project demonstrates Inclusive App Craft's approach to client development:
Understand the Business → Design for Diverse Users → Build Accessibly → Integrate Essential Services → Test → Launch → Improve
The result is a platform that addresses the client's immediate business requirements while providing a foundation for expanding CyberDEBS into a broader digital services marketplace.
